Swedish Massage Therapy is usually known for soothig and relaxing the mind and body. This is done largely with long gliding strokes in the direction of the heart. Its slow rythmic movements helps to sedate an over-excited nervous system. But Swedish Massage goes beyond relaxation. It also is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins and debris, and improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
